Who Are These Idiots?
Exploring, surviving, and exposing Michigan’s Upper Peninsula one pasty at a time.
Established in 2026 Somewhere Past the Bridge
Yoopers Exposed didn’t start in a corporate boardroom with focus groups and marketing consultants. It started the way most great northern ideas do: sitting around a bonfire, swatting blackflies, drinking cold beer, and wondering why nobody was showing the real Upper Peninsula.
Not just the glossy postcard shots of lighthouses and fall foliage—though we love those too—but the everyday reality. The seasonal two-tracks that turn into bottomless mud bogs, the forgotten copper shafts whispering history through the pines, the sub-zero mornings where you shovel the roof before coffee, and the quiet pride of calling this rugged wilderness home.
Since our fingers were too numb to hold actual cameras and our phone batteries died at -10°, we taught Artificial Intelligence how to think like a Yooper—feeding it pasties, Lake Superior fog, and raw northern grit to capture the quirk and beauty of the 906.
The “Executive Board”
🌲 Chief Exploration Officer
Responsibilities include driving down roads marked “Seasonal Route: Not Maintained By County” and seeing how far the truck gets before needing a winch.
❄️ Head of Cold Weather Testing
Certified in walking out to start the snowblower in 15-degree weather wearing an unzipped hoodie, boots without socks, and athletic shorts.
🥟 Director of Pasty Compliance
Ensures every pasty consumed maintains the sacred ratio of beef, potatoes, and rutabaga—and fiercely defends against flatlander ketchup slander.
Why We Made This Gear
When you live where winter lasts nine months and the weather forecast is mostly just a suggestion, you need gear that actually holds up.
We launched the Official Yoopers Exposed Store so fans and fellow northern souls could wear gear that means something. Everything in our store is custom-printed on demand using premium, comfortable heavyweight cotton and durable materials. Whether you’re braving a Lake Superior gale, sitting in deer camp, or just representing the U.P. from down south, this gear is built for the journey.
Thanks for tagging along on the ride, eh.
